this is pretty cool. type in a track and it analyses the tempo to tell you how in time the drumming is. A flat line is a giveaway that it’s been done to a click track.

Birmingham Photgraphic Grid →
An interesting approach to photographing Birmingham. A grid was superimposed over a map of Birmingham and a photo taken at each of the intersects.
First saw this on Created in Birmingham a while back. I’ve come back to it as part of some pychogeography ideas I’m toying with.

An online version of Shazam (the mobile phone service that you can play a tune to and it’ll tell you what it is) that you can sing at. Wonder if it’ll work with my tuneless noise.

my iPod is on it’s last legs. Debating whether to replace the battery again as I always have my Nokia N95 with me with a selection of music on it so this may be a way of managing my portable music without moving away from iTunes which does a good job of managing a huge MP3 collection.

just got a Netcomm Mediaplayer 35 to store all my MP3, video and photos on as a networked HD that I can also play through the telly. It has a few limitations that I’ve been working through so this page looks like a handy way of hacking it with alternative firmware. Haven’t tried it yet. I’m just bookmarking this page for future reference.
